- Court case files: use the Shoshone County court case lookup, then ask the filing clerk for accessible documents
- Criminal records and rap sheets: contact the Idaho State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Shoshone County sheriff's records unit
- Official background checks: order through the Idaho State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Expungement or shielding: follow the remedy that applies through BCI or the court that handled the matter
